I really enjoyed this book. I loved the spiritual messages, and inspirational quotes that was weaved throughout the story. The story had suspense, action, romance, a small boy, and a search and rescue dog named Buddy.Ella Jackson was in a abusive marriage. She turned her husband in to the police. With help from a organization, She was able to file for divorce, and move to a Alaska with her little boy Robbie. Her heart sank when the day camp her son was staying at, called to say he was missing. Josiah, and his search dog Buddy, helped in the search to find Robbie. After he was found Buddy, and Josiah protected both Ella and her son. The man that had chased the boys through the woods had not been found. I loved how fast Robbie bonded with Buddy. Both Buddy, and Robbie made this story.
Josiah had served in the military. During his time he was captured, and was a POW. He still has bad night mares about that time. Buddy wakes him up. Not only is buddy a search and rescue dog, but he is also a service animal. That part of the story touched my heart. The romance between Ella, and Josiah was sweet. It started off slow, while the two got to know one another. Through the suspense of the story, you could feel the friendship growing into something more. Josiah's friendship also grew with her son. Robby had a bit of hero worship. It was the first time in his life he had a good male role model. I loved how Josiah would take the time to do things with the little boy.
This was one of those feel good story's. It left me with a warm heart.

This is a great series and a quick and easy read. Suspenseful and heartwarming at the same time.
Loved this second book in the series Alaskan Search and Rescue. Once I started this I could not put it down, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Margaret Daley always makes me feel like I am part of the story.
Easy to love charterers with enough twist and turns to keep you guessing, and maybe read the other books in the series!
To Save Her Child is the second excellent romantic suspense book in the Alaskan Search and Rescue series written by author Margaret Daley.
A mother will do almost anything to protect her child. When Ella's son and two other boys go missing and she needs help finding and then protecting him. Josiah and his dog, Buddy, help in the rescue process and then help protect them when a crazy man stalks them. It was riveting. There was suspense and romance wi h two people wondering why God let things happen to them.
Ella was dealing with her distrust of men after the way her ex-husband had treated her and Josiah was dealing with PTSD from being a POW. Wonderful story of learning how to trust and forgive. Josiah was a part of search and rescue team that helped to search for Ella's son Robbie when him and two of his friends went missing from summer camp. Loved all of the secondary characters. Hopefully there will be more books in this series.
This book was really good and captured me from the first words. Search and rescue dogs are amazing and the work they do is awesome. I think it would be tough enough to do the job when looking for adults but looking for children would be extremely rewarding or heartbreaking depending on the results.
